I am excited to announce that my friend and colleague Laura Strong is hosting a monthly story slam at my new center!

If you have not attended a story slam before, it is an opportunity to experience the power of storytelling as you are taken on a journey by the incredible stories shared with our vibrant community. Every slam offers rich, diverse content. No two slams are exactly alike – each has its own unique flavor!

All attendees are welcome to join the storytelling session (no notes please) and share a 5-minute personal story on the night’s theme. (You can also just come enjoy listening to the stories). The night of the event just drop your name in the Story Slam Hat, and we will draw up to ten names to share their story with the live audience.  The audience will vote for their favorite story at the end of the evening and the winner will receive $50 plus an invitation to compete in our Richfield Grand Story Slam on May 9th for $200 and bragging rights!

The topic for October 12th is Right Place, Right Time!
