I Remember Now ~ Time To Look In The Mirror ~ Pastor Tim Tengblad Post 94

I just listened to two people arguing. You don’t have to go far these days. The argument was over who commits more acts of violence, the Right or the Left?

When one was attacked, the other did what we humans always do. They got defensive and dug in their heels even further.

It’s time. Time to look in the mirror and ask, “What have I done to propel us to where we are today? What acts of violence against the ‘other’ have I committed with my thoughts? My words? My actions?

We’ve all been here.  We’ve all been part of creating what we’re living in today.

I see all of us pointing fingers, as if that’s going to change anything. Well, it actually will cause change. It will only make it worse, not better.

Humans  only change if  they want to,  or have to. No one is going to change because we think they should. Or if we yell at them loud enough, hate them enough, or blame them enough.

In the meantime we can only ask, “What have I said or done to propel us to where we are? Human relationships are primarily energy exchanges, so perhaps a key question is, “What energy am I putting out into the world around me? Is it helping, healing, or hurting?”

Love is the only true and lasting agent of change. We don’t have to like or agree with what someone says or does, but we can love them. We can still resist what is being done or said, and love the person at the same time.

We all know it’s hard. It’s through the difficulty that we grow.

Love is the only way forward.

You came from Love. You are Love!
