Like many of you, I am appalled by the overreach of our current administration and ICE. Here in Minneapolis, our Somali neighbors are their latest target. Most are U.S. citizens, have lived here for decades, and have contributed greatly to our communities.

There are many rational and humanitarian reasons for nationwide resistance. However, one fundamental reason often remains unspoken.

The first word about any of us is that we are souls. We are souls who have emerged from our common Source, whatever name we give it.

We have all left our ‘homeland’, so to speak, and immigrated to earth to experience this lifetime.

The immigrant is us! Literally a sister or brother who is sacred. We are all Divine in nature, worthy of respect, honor, and welcome.

One day our immigrants souls will return to our homeland. Until then, may we welcome each other knowing our deepest Truth.

You are Love,

Pastor Tim Tengblad
