I Remember Now ~ Is Anyone Where They Are? ~ Pastor Tim Tengblad Post 102

I noticed several years ago that the hardest place to be is where you are. I was thinking about everything except the moment in front of me. I was missing out on my life. I now try to remember that the present moment is the only thing that is real.

This morning our daughter, Sonja, was walking our 9-year-old grandson, Soren, to his school.

Soren: “Why is everyone on their phone?”

Sonja: “I know. It sucks. But everything you need is on your phone.”

Soren: “Well, love isn’t on your phone.”

This morning another conversation occurred in the office of an elementary school where I volunteer.

Me: “I’d like to be part of the program you have where students read to an adult.”

Staff person: “Oh, that is SO needed! The students don’t get much one-on-one time, and they love it! The teachers are

busy with so many students. The children get home and their parents are exhausted, busy, or on their phones.”

Note to self: Love isn’t on your phone.

You are love. And so is the one waiting for your total presence.
