It’s So Frustrating

When I think of what a different world this would be if the Council of Constantinople had not decided to vote OUT reincarnation in 553 A.D. Did you know that the Roman Catholic Church taught reincarnation until that time? Just think of how different things would be if people understood that the Golden Rule isn’t just a cute suggestion but actually the law of Karma. What we do to another person is what is done to us. If people realized that all the hardships they go through are NOT GOD’S FAULT, but are either choices their soul has made to grow, a karmic debt being paid off or unfinished business that has turned into illness or disease.

People can be so mean and insensitive to others.. If people understood that what comes around goes around, they would treat each other so much different. Companies would stop polluting the environment. The Government would be honest with us and play fair. The Health Care System would act like one. We’d stop cheating each other. Running scams. Stealing people’s identities.

People would be able to look each other in the eye and tell the truth. We’d stop suing each other for ridiculous injustices. Broken adults would get help rather than abuse their families sexually, emotionally, mentally and physically. People would stop making ridiculous judgments about each other and recognize that everyone is on a different path and at a different level of growth.

I could go on and on with this because it’s so frustrating to watch what’s going on in the world. Just because the Council of Constantinople took that vote in 553. A.D. whether or not to keep reincarnation in the Bible and the vote was 3-2 to take it out, we live in a world of chaos, constantly creating new karma for ourselves. Just because they took it out of the Bible doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. I ask God to show me what I can do to help shift things and my answer is always to teach about it, write about it and live by the Golden Rule and I’m going to give it my best shot.

I’d like to share an adorable quote I heard the other day from Will Rogers:

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me. I want people to know why I look this way. I’ve traveled a long way and some of the roads weren’t paved.

This post is for the previous poster that is requesting information about the Council of Constantinople vote for the removal of reincarnation text….

“Although Eastern religions accept reincarnation as part of their doctrine, Christianity has rejected it since 553 AD, when it was dropped from their doctrine at the Fifth Ecumenical Council at Constantinople. At that time, the Roman Empire was divided into two parts: the Eastern Empire at Constantinople and the Western Empire at Rome. It has been noted historically that the rejection of reincarnation was personally motivated by Justinian, the Emperor of the Eastern Empire, and his wife, Theodora. Although the vote at the Council relied on bishops from both the Eastern and Western Empire, only two bishops from Rome came to Constantinople to vote. As two previous popes had been murdered after they denounced the dropping of the belief of reincarnation of the Bible, many of the Roman bishops were afraid to vote against the wishes of Justinian. After the vote, all Bibles were confiscated throughout both empires, burned and rewritten. “
