Intuition and the Holidays

The holidays are here and shopping for gifts seems to be what’s on people’s minds right now. We’re also aware of limited budgets and time constraints, so let me give you a suggestion about how using your intuition can help.
We all have special people in our life and we want to get them special gifts but sometimes your head just doesn’t come up with a good idea.

That’s when we turn to that magical part within us for guidance. It makes holiday shopping a lot more fun and a whole lot easier!

Simply ask the Universe for fun ideas for the people on your list and as thoughts and feelings come in during the day, jot them down. Go over the list with your inner voice to make sure the ideas feel accurate, and then ask your inner voice to guide you as to where to get it and when to go get it.

It sounds like we’re asking a lot of our inner voice when we can be making these decisions on our own, but when you get in the habit of doing it like this, it can happen rather quickly and the results are magical.

Here’s an example: A few years ago, a good friend of mine was getting married and I wanted to her something special that she hadn’t asked for on her list. I asked my inner voice to help me find the perfect gift and within an hour I felt the word IRON.

‘Iron?’ I said out loud. ‘I don’t want to get her an iron. How boring. Give me a different idea.’

Over the next couple of days, the whole iron thing would not go away, so I asked the Universe to help me pick out the perfect one. I also asked it to guide me to a place where it would fit in my budget (sounds cheap but have you seen the price of some of the irons these days?) I had a strong knowing of which store to go to (surprise surprise, the irons were on sale that week), and the timing of when to go was also magical because when I got there, this normally very busy store barely had any customers. I was in and out in less than ten minutes!

The bonus to the story is that when my friend sent her thank you note, she said she really wanted an iron but didn’t list it on her bridal registry because she figured no one would get her one. She also said it was exactly the iron she wanted. Who would have thought an iron would make someone so happy?!

This holiday season instead of getting stressed, do it differently. Let yourself have fun with your intuition. If you don’t want to do the whole list thing, just walk the malls with your intuition. Trust the guidance you’re getting. It can be so fun. I guarantee you’ll hear your friends and family say: How did you know this is exactly what I wanted?

Shopping with the awareness that you and God are shopping together for your loved ones makes it special. Give it a try and send us your posts. I’d love to hear about your intuition holiday experiences.

God Bless you at this special time of year.

Love, Echo
