Higher Perspective

Our world seems to be in continual crisis with many people feeling hopeless, distraught or depressed. I often receive emails asking why God lets horrible things happen and why doesn’t he do anything about them. Others want to know if it’s true that we plan our own lives and why would we ever choose to have such difficult experiences. I thought it might be helpful if I share a higher perspective of life as I’ve come to understand our time here on Earth.

Most of you know I’ve been on this journey for as far back as I can remember. I have asked the same questions, determined to find answers. I wanted to have a strong faith, yet I was taught by religion that God was the one who created all this suffering. All things were supposedly God’s will and I always felt vulnerable, like I might be given cancer or become handicapped in some way. I was so conflicted.

All the hard work I have done on my spiritual path helped me to realize that we go through the challenges of tough times in order to grow. We learn about ourselves and see how strong, courageous, intelligent, intuitive, loving and powerful we are. I have come to understand a different God than the one I was taught about. I now know that God is loving, kind and compassionate, wanting to help us every step of the way by connecting with us directly through our intuition.

Instead, we have a victim consciousness, a natural result of being taught that God creates all this drama. It is Humankind that creates the drama. We struggle and think we need to figure things out ourselves. We’re always asking “why me?” Someone once said to me, “why not you?” Eliminate the victim thinking and remember that we came here to learn.

My thinking and believing has changed dramatically. I have realized that God looks at every challenge we go through from a Higher Perspective. If we could look at our experiences as opportunities to learn we would stop looking at life as a victim and see the gift in the challenges. We might instead ask “how can I benefit the most, learn the most, and become more compassionate as a result of the tough experiences I am going through”. See life through God’s eyes.

A student once asked about the purpose of dementia and alzheimers. The next day another student said he got a strong knowing that it isn’t so much for the person going through it as it is for family and friends, and all they are learning from going through this. His answer felt so right to me and I wanted to share it with the you.

What’s going on in your life right now that has you stuck in victim mode? What can’t you see from a higher perspective? Send an email describing your situation in a brief paragraph. I will share those that I can and answer with what I believe is a Higher Perspective.

I needed this perspective so intensely today. I have started coming out of the shock of the mountainess challenges that have happened in my life in the last couple of years, trusting the process and learning and focusing on the gifts that these difficulties bring…with blind faith that I am exactly where I need to be at this very moment. Not in the past, not in the future…just right here, right now. Thank you♡
