Easter Blog March ’24

Easter Blog March 2024

Every year around Easter time, I seem to slide into a depression that feels really deep. It’s like a very strong sadness about something my soul hasn’t been able to let go of.

Yesterday, I sat down with my inner child, pencil in my non-dominant hand (that’s how I access my inner child) and asked her what is wrong. She said she’s sad that Jesus died and hates the fact that we are reminded of it every year around this time. Wow. I was shocked at that answer. I thought I had dealt with that years ago in therapy, but as I sat thinking about it yesterday, I realized she’s right.

Every year, we are reminded of Jesus’ death, and also that he died for our sins because we’re a bunch of sinners. That alone has never felt correct. Reading Gina Lake’s channeled book What Jesus Wants You To Know Today helped tremendously with that deep sadness. If you haven’t read it yet, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. In it, Jesus cleared up a lot of misconceptions religion taught us; and it all felt so right intuitively. Just one of the misconceptions is that he didn’t die for our sins. Jesus died because he was gaining more and more power with the people and the people in power didn’t like it.

Hopefully someday down the road, religion will stop teaching the lies they have for centuries and become willing to change their rhetoric. But for now, let’s not get stuck there. The intention of this blog post is to write about possible grief you might be feeling as well.

A lot of us lived back then, and I can only imagine how grief-filled we were. The reason I’m writing this is for you. If you’re feeling sad every year at Easter time, maybe this is what’s going on with your soul. Remember that our souls carry memories of all our lifetimes. So if there is sadness inside of you right now and you can’t find a reason for it, I suggest telling your soul/inner child that there’s nothing we can do about his physical death. He did what he came here to do, he gave us wonderful guidance as to how to live our lives, called us his brothers and sisters and told us we have all the same abilities that he did. He empowered us, guided us to live intuitively and told us to find Heaven on Earth.  And according to Gina Lake’s books, he tells us he loves us today as much as he did when he was on Earth.

His spirit is very much alive, and I want to say the same thing to you that I’ve been saying to my inner self. Don’t be sad. We’re here for a short time and then we get to hang out with him again on the other side. So for Easter, let’s celebrate his life and celebrate his teachings.
