Another Intuition Story

I’d like to share an experience I had a couple of weeks ago today when I was heading down to W. Palm Beach. As I was packing, I checked in with my inner voice about the flight which I always do when traveling and there was this funny little blip I call it. Hmmm. Something was up with the flight. Okay I asked, should I not take this flight? No, I could take the flight but there was a blip. Was it delayed? Blip.

Hmmm. Okay, so I was given heads up that there was going to be some kind of issue but it still felt safe to go. I got to the airport, everything went smooth and I boarded the plane for a 5:00 flight. I still had that funny feeling in my gut that something was up, but again when checking in with that silent voice, I wasn’t told to get off the plane so I waited to see what was up.

A young woman came and sat down next to me and the blip got a little bit louder. Hmm I asked, is there something wrong with her? Not quite was the answer. We ferried out to the tarmac and waited. And waited, and waited. Finally the plane began to move, not down the runway but back to the gate.  More waiting.  Security came on board and talked to the captain. More waiting. It was after 6:00 when a flight attendant escorted a gentleman off the plane. The Captain came out and explained that the man was taking a lot of pictures of the inside of the plane, and didn’t have any luggage or carry on which all seemed quite suspicious, so they escorted him off the plane. They said since the Paris incident, they weren’t taking any chances.

They fueled up again and I checked in with my intuition to see if everything was okay now and again I got the blip. Seems that the adventure wasn’t over yet.  We ferried back out to the tarmac and waited. The plane finally began to move, back to the gate. Two passengers were very afraid to stay on the plane and had demanded to get off, so they did. Then the captain came out and asked if anyone else would like to get off. Six passengers got up and off the plane. I asked my inner voice if I should get off and it said no, but there was still one more issue before we left. Just as they were closing the doors, the young woman next to me got up and off the plane. Didn’t grab her luggage. Just got off.

As soon as she was off the plane, my inner voice said everything is fine from here on out and at 7:10, we left for W. Palm Beach with a stopover in Atlanta. There was one other little incident with my intuition that night that I later kicked myself for not listening. When we got into W. Palm Beach finally at 12:30, I was really hungry and everything was closed. I hadn’t eaten since 4:00 so I figured I’d get some chips in the vending machine at the hotel. I passed by a vending machine full of chips at the airport and my inner voice yelled  at me to get some and I said, nah, the hotel will have them too. When I got to the hotel at 1:15, I went up to the vending machine and they had 5 bags of skittles. That was it.

I share this story with you because now there’s been another shooting and people are getting more and more afraid and I CAN’T SAY THIS LOUD ENOUGH. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE START LISTENING TO THAT STILL SMALL VOICE WITHIN YOURSELF. PLEASE! It will always let you know if you are in an unsafe situation. It will always protect you, IF YOU LISTEN.  That’s why you have an inner voice. To look after you, guide and reassure you. With all the fear going on in the world right now, it’s really vital that you learn how to listen to the voice within. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE IN FEAR.

The one question I get over and over from people is how do they know if it’s their inner voice speaking or their fears. REMEMBER THIS. INTUITION DOES NOT HAVE EMOTION.  If it is telling you to get off a plane, it will tell you calmly. It will be a knowing within you that you need to get off the plane and oftentimes, when we don’t get the message, our body will simply act out what we need to do. You will find yourself getting up and off the plane, all the while arguing with yourself to sit back down. Spirit moves through us when we aren’t listening.

Don’t wait until the next shooting or terrorist attack to start learning how to listen to your inner voice. Get a copy of my book, A Still Small Voice and read it over a few times. Let the words really sink in. Practice trusting it with the little things. There are all kinds of suggestions in the book to help you know this amazing part of yourself.

The terrorists want us to live in fear. They don’t want us out enjoying life. Don’t let them control you or your life. Your inner voice will ALWAYS let you know if you’re in danger. It takes time and practice to learn how to hear it and trust it, but it’s so worth it.

Would you do me a favor and share this with others. I want to reach every part of this planet with the message of intuition.  WE DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE IN FEAR. PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

Thanks in advance,

Echo

I enjoyed this story about your W. Palm Beach trip and that little nudge from your intuition; it actually gave me goosebumps. I think it is easy to forget that we have this gift. With so much happening out there lately, using this tool is worthwhile to navigate with. Thanks Echo I hope you had a great trip! See you soon. Love & Blessings, Lynn

Dear Echo, thanks for sharing this story. I too have had times where I doubted what I was being told, didn’t listen and it was after the fact that I realized that it was my inner voice guiding me. It does take practice to feel sure in what you are being directed to do or not do. I agree that we must not give in to fear, but surround ourselves in Light and Love; and keep moving forward. Thanks for all that you do – you are a beacon of light in this world. As a nation we must continue to pray and put ourselves in the Light, surround our country in the energy of Love and extend that to the rest of the planet so that all are operating at a higher level. In Light and Love, Deborah

Intuition does NOT have emotion. To me, that says it all. Thank you Bodine. I love you.

I have similar blips and always pay attention to them. For instance, my Mom died on Election Day. She lived across the country from my sister and I, and I took care of travel arrangements. When I was booking travel back home, calculating how much extra charges for decent seats, early boarding (for easier stowing in overhead racks), etc., and up popped a screen saying we could upgrade to First Class for $100 more per person. First thought was “no .. already costing a fortune” but my inner voice kept nagging me. Finally made the booking for First Class and didn’t think more about it. The kicker is that the night before we left (planning on leaving for airport at 4am) I developed a raging UTI. Got to a drugstore right before it closed and got AZO to deal with “urgency” issue and had things pretty much under control by the time of the flight. Call to Dr after the flight scored me antibiotics. Even with the AZO, there was still a lot of running to the bathroom during the flight. Let me tell you how grateful I was that I had booked First Class so I only had to take a few steps to get there (and didn’t have to wait in a long line). Funny how that stuff works out. 😉
